Meet your local guide and visit of the Old Town of Mostar in a walking tour.
Learn about the history and culture of the region, starting with the early civilizations inhabiting these regions, through different periods, including the Ilirian Tribes, Romans, Bosnian Medieval Kingdom, Ottomans, Austro-Hungarian, and modern times, including the demise of Yugoslavia.
Follow your guide and see the Kujundžiluk (old bazaar), the street leading to the old town, with shops of traditional artisans displaying unique timeless works of art.
Continuing down the cobbled street, we reach the Old Bridge, the iconic symbol of Mostar, built more than 500 years ago.
Guide will lead you to a plateau under the Old Bridge, giving you the best possible perspective on the marvelous feat of 15. century Ottoman Architecture.
While you listen to your guide telling you stores about how the bridge was built, destroyed and rebuilt, you can admire the bravery of young Mostari diving in the cold water of the emerald river.
Later, and only if you choose to do so, you can reward the young divers for their bravery with a few coins according to a local custom.
The last stop on the tour is a visit to Leathersmiths Mosque, special in many ways.
After this, you say farewell to your guide as he gives a recommendation on what to do in your free time.
